Paulien Bremmer i.c.w. Hootsmans architectuurbureau proposed new building for Gerrit Rietveld Academy and Sandberg Institute, which is an international university of applied sciences for Fine Arts and Design in Amsterdam. The design will link two existing buildings forming a single structure.
Aim of the visualizations was to show the transparency and accessibility of the building. 3d renderings simultaneously depict different activities and functions of the new extension. ELEMENT’s goal was to create specific mood and atmosphere of artistic and vibrant university. The daylight interior views were created in the 3ds max and rendered in Corona engine using such materials as concrete, steel, wood fibre cement boards and glass. The final result illustrates sensuality of the space and correspond to the function of the building. All the images went through postproduction in Photoshop including colour correction, general adjustments and cutout people placement.
